Our Program
Nurture Preschool provides comprehensive and exceptional education for preschool/pre-k students. The preschool years are a formative and exciting time of learning, discovery, and exploration. It is when students experience complex feelings, learn life-long skills and expand intellectual horizons. We seek to capture feelings and foster a sense of excitement and curiosity about the world and their environment.
Nurture Preschool encourages and promotes development of social and emotional skills. We are actively involved in fostering traits of sharing, problem solving, cooperation, and verbal expression. We collectively help the children to acquire these skills through positive guidance and role modeling.
We believe that building a strong sense of community starts with knowing each other as an individual. We view community service as an integral part of our program. Helping one another as well as others in our community is important. The more children learn about themselves and their abilities, the more confident they will be interacting and contributing to groups.
We promote confidence and positive self-esteem by ensuring each child experiences success in our small classroom environment. Classes are tailored to include individual interests, abilities and learning styles to help children reach their full potential.
Nurture Preschool, located in the Portage Bay/ Roanoke Park area of Seattle, is a part-time, play-based preschool open to students ranging from 3 to 5-years-old. We have a small student to teacher ratio, 2 teachers to 12 students. Our school day runs from 9:00-1:00 Monday-Friday. We also offer a 2,3,4 day option.
